A Castor Oil Hair Treatment is a unique and effective way to care for the beauty of your hair.
Hair Treatments with Castor Oil are Good For:
- preventing and remedying hair loss
- dandruff treatment
- scalp infections
- increasing circulation to the scalp for possible hair growth
- stronger, smoother, less frizzy hair
- deep conditioning of the hair and scalp
Better than Using Conditioner
A conditioner might work wonders for your hair but castor oil gives it minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids.
What is Castor Oil?
Castor oil is a pale yellow vegetable oil that comes pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant.
The oil is not ingestible but is great for external use on hair.
- Castor oil has bacterial and antifungal properties which treat dandruff, fungal infections, and scalp infections.
- Ricinoleic acid in Castor Oil balances scalp pH assisting to replenish the scalp’s natural oils.
- Antioxidants in castor oil support hair keratin (a fibrous protein forming the main structural constituent of hair).
Reasons for Castor Oil Hair Treatments
- Makes your Hair Feel Great and Moisturized.
- May Help Regrow Hair.
- Improves Hair Strength.
- Repairs Hair from Over Processing with Hair Care Products.
Buy Hexane-Free Castor Oil
Hexane is a solvent used to extract herbal substances and is a constituent of gasoline. Be certain to use only a hexane-free castor oil such as this one from Heritage Store.
How Often for a Castor Oil Hair Treatment?
You can use a castor oil hair treatment once a week depending upon your hair care goals.
I use a Castor Oil treatment monthly.
Tip: Don’t overdo Castor Oil Hair Treatments or over apply too much oil to your hair.
How to Use
- Apply to damp but not wet hair
- Use enough for hair to feel moist but not totally soaked with oil
- Massage small amounts gently into scalp
- Leave in 30 minutes to several hours or even overnight
- Wear a shower cap or wrap with an old towel
- Wash hair as normal
Start out conservatively for your first treatment. You may feel some warmness to the oil on your scalp which is normal.
